Teaching MFL, step by step.

kOUIvna is a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) programme designed for Irish primary schools, aligned with the Primary Language Curriculum. While national policy sets the direction for modern foreign languages in primary schools, kOUIvna provides a clear and structured pathway to support schools in bringing MFL into everyday classroom practice.

French and Spanish are the first languages available, with additional languages to be integrated in the coming months based on school interest. A single School Licence gives access to all web-based resources across available languages, allowing schools to deliver MFL in a way that suits their context while supporting a broader awareness of language learning.

kOUIvna offers a structured and practical approach. Rather than providing isolated activities or tools, it brings together classroom teaching, regular revisiting and progression within one coherent system, where learning is organised and developed over time.

The programme fits naturally into the school day. Core elements are in place, allowing teachers to focus on teaching while adapting lessons and pacing to suit their pupils and classroom context.

A complete learning system

kOUIvna combines a teacher platform and a learning journal into one coherent system supporting classroom interaction, regular revisiting and awareness of their learning. Optional app access may also support regular revisiting. Lessons are short, predictable and easy to integrate into the school day, with clear routines that support confident delivery.

Optional home access is also be available for families who wish to support regular revisiting beyond the classroom.
